Raised in the humid, salty air of a barrier island offshore of Miami, Brett made his way to the mainland and overseas to study architecture, design, furniture making, and languages. In addition to his native English, he speaks Spanish, Danish, and a bit of French. He has graduated from: Washington University in St. Louis, The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine and The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has worked in millwork and architecture. He occasionally teaches drawing and he volunteers with organizations that protect and preserve native habitats in South Florida. He resides in Chicago, Illinois.
